Matt began his journey into the healing arts through studying Health Psychology at the University of New Hampshire. He was fascinated by the mind body connection and what was possible through somatic therapy. He then studied massage therapy in Colorado in 2006 and began working for many years treating back pain and sports injuries. He acquired a great deal of knowledge through many other trainings and certifications. He became proficient in Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, advanced Body Mechanics, Fascial Stretching. and Neuromuscular techniques and found great success working with these modalities, especially for neck and back pain. He is also trained in Prenatal massage.

Many years ago, Matt started practicing qigong meditation and Tai Chi Chuan. He went on to study Acupuncture and Chinese medicine and became a licensed Acupuncturist. Matt has found great success in treating patients with a mixture of acupuncture and Chinese bodywork, and is constantly amazed by the sometimes miraculous benefits of acupuncture as medicine. His acupuncture is heavily focused on both getting to the root cause of illness as well as well as pain relief and rehabilitation. His Wellness Acupuncture treatments focus on 5 Element Acupuncture. Matt’s Sports Acupuncture includes Trigger Point Dry Needling and Trigger Point Injections. Matt also offers vitamin and wellness injection therapy. For him, there is no better feeling than watching someone progress, feel better, and become more balanced.

People know Matt to have incredibly skilled hands, and sensitivity to pressure. His many years of experience, along with his numerous advanced trainings in Massage Therapy and Acupuncture, have helped him to become a very successful practitioner. He uses an integral approach to body work and wellness that helps people take a broader look at what they can do to live healthier lives.

“I am grateful for my time at Boulder Therapeutics working with Matt. He is incredibly knowledgeable about healing the human body through acupuncture, massage and herbal treatments. I went to Matt initially for a sports injury, however he was able to help me improve sleep, improve digestive issues, and decrease overall stress as well. I really appreciate his holistic approach and kind heart. I highly recommend working with Matt.”–Kathleen W.

“Matt is awesome. I have had probably a dozen appointments with him over the last year. He is extremely knowledgeable and can get to the root of the issue. I’ve seen him for sports massage, acupuncture, Myofascial release, dry needling, e-stim, few of which i knew to request but that Matt determined would be helpful for my recovery as an endurance runner. Can’t recommend him enough!”–Natalie B.
